Katie's book review

26 March 2010

The green wind and the wind is silver by Thurley Fowler

This book is about a dream maker. Jennifer turns a dream paddock into a real garden.
I like the book because the girl becomes a dream maker.

Construction sites

19 March 2010

With all the talk and action in the school yard at the moment about our new library it was time to put up a display on construction sites. A huge big thank you to Paul our assistant caretaker for putting together such a great display.
The children coming into the library just point and go "Wow".

And we begin

19 March 2010

The workmen began this week. They brought the safety fences in and then the digger and now they are working on the foundations.
The children love watching the men work.

Millie comes visiting

2 March 2010

Our regular local cat Millie, came visiting in the library today. After slobbering kisses all over the librarian Millie was later found out the back curled up in a bean bag fast asleep. Deciding she no longer wanted to be alone Millie came back into the library and plonked herself on the circulation desk where she was sure of getting attention from every student.
Here is Millie with Annabelle and Jacob from Room 11.
