Margaret Mahy shares in the celebration

10 May 2010

Puffin books have just turned 70. They have published some of the best picture books throughout the years and you can check out some of them on their website. Be sure to take a look at their playground. Heaps of things to do.

They have just reprinted three of Margaret Mahy's  much loved and out-of-print books.
The witch in the cherry tree,  The boy who was followed home as seen above and The three-legged cat. Each of these will be in our library very soon but there are many, many more of her books in our library.

Here's Margaret Mahy,  signing a copy of  The witch in the cherry tree for our school, assisted by her constant companion, Honey the dog. Margaret came along to the Children's bookshop in Christchurch to help celebrate Puffin's 70th birthday.
And here is where you can find out more about Margaret Mahy.
